There are multiple pathways to apply for permanent residency and settle in Canada. Foreign workers, international students, and candidates outside Canada with the right skills, experience, and education can apply to OINP for nomination.

How to apply OINP?

There are three common ways you may qualify for nomination. PassX Immigration Consultants will make sure you are eligible to apply for the right stream.

• Human capital category - For international workers with skills, experience, education, and language proficiency with a valid Express Entry profile or graduate background
• Employer job offer category - For applicants who have a valid job offer from an Ontario employer
• Business category - For entrepreneurs looking to start a business or buy an existing business in Ontario

Human capital category:

• International graduate
• Ontario Express Entry stream
• Masters Graduate stream
• PhD Graduate stream

To be eligible under the graduate stream, applicants must have a valid Express Entry profile and an invitation to apply within two years of receiving a graduate degree from an eligible designated learning institute.

For Ontario Express Entry stream, applicants must maintain an up-to-date federal Express Entry profile with current work experience, language tests, and education, and receive a notification of interest from Ontario.

French Speaking Skilled Worker stream: For applicants with required work experience, education, and language proficiency in French and English.

Human Capital Priorities stream: For international skilled workers with required work experience, education, and language proficiency in French and English.

Skilled Trades stream: For workers with a minimum of one year work experience in Ontario in eligible trade occupations.

Employer Job offer category:

To qualify under employer job offer streams, applicants must have a valid profile in OINP e-filing portal, and either an invitation to apply or a full-time job offer from an Ontario employer. This category has three streams under an expression of interest system.

• Foreign Worker stream
• International Student stream
• In-Demand Skills stream

Business Category:

Entrepreneurs from outside Canada who are looking to implement a new business concept or buy an existing business in Ontario can apply under the Entrepreneur stream.
